For quite sometime, I have been reading some very good stuff around in blogsphere and just recently, it clicked my mind to go one step further. I came up with this idea of starting a feature on my blog, the blography. It is blog alternative of biography. I kept thinking about it for quite sometime and in this course of search in and out of my mind, I came up with this idea to narrate this story of a blog in the very words of its blogger. Yes, the ‘auto’ thing as in autobiography and it offered me this ‘Aha’ feeling. I though, thought and thought for quite some time and I am up now with this ‘autoblography’ feature, the biography of a blog in the words of its blogger(s).

What is autoblography?

Autobiography is something that tells us about the blog in it’s ‘about section’. It is the self portrait of the blog that a blogger wants its readers see. It is in fact the autobiography of a blog. It is the story behind this intellectual pursuit that made the blogger spent a good deal of time in writing the posts to carry his voice to its readers.

Having this idea of autoblography in my mind, I started looking in every direction in blogsphere and was happy to read some very interesting pieces. I felt like sharing it with my readers and it took me to its logical end of starting this new feature on my blog named ‘autoblography’.

My plan

In the days to come, you will find this new feature ‘autoblography’ on regular basis at ‘Silence’. I will file all the posts in a new category on my blog and the category will be named accordingly as ‘autoblography’. My work will stay that of an editor in nature and I will search and pick the autoblographical notes for the interested readers from about sections of blogs around. In cases, where some blog is interesting but lacks the about section, Silence will request the blogger to send an autoblographical note on his/her blog for publication.

Request to bloggers

If any blogger feels like participating and wants the autoblography of his blog get published with Silence, he can send an email at editor [at] drfarrukhmalik [dot] com with the autoblographical note. Silence will review the autoblographical note and the blog to ascertain the suitability for publishing.

Policy of Autoblography feature

Last but not least, it is not required that the policy of Silence must match with the featured autoblography. Silence believes that every individual has right to say and open his heart out but limits of ethics and decency will strictly be observed. In cases where Silence will deem it fit that editorial changes are required, the permission from the writer will be sought before hand. Silence will not be responsible for the content Published with this feature.
