High time for CSS Aspirants 2010

The Competitive Examinations (CSS) 2010 is around the corner. Many of you might be knowing about it. The forms are going to be available at designated centers by Dec 1, 2009 and examinations are going to commence from March 6, 2010. This leaves a very little time for those who intend to appear for the said examination. In such a situation, one needs to have some strong strategy for the preparation. With this post I would like to put forward some points that might help the aspirants.
1. Broadly speaking only three months are left for the preparation. I, time and again, emphasize that for CSS preparation, time management is the key to success. Since only three months are left, aspirants need to recalculate the time at hand and study burden. Once done with it, they must distribute the time accordingly.
2. In my personal view, I would say that aspirants must target the Feb 15, 2010 as the deadline and keep rest of the 15 days till commencement of examinations for revision, relaxation and final touches. I and many of the qualified fellows had the similar strategy.
3. The writing practice once again is important. Try to practice writing as much as you can.
4. By Feb 2010, the papers must be final. So, give secondary importance to new current affairs items. Read daily Dawn for follow up and developments on the older issues and spend more time on other subjects and writing practice.

salam sir i m doing my M.com this is my final semester .my date of birth is 2nd october 1984 could u plz guide me that that in which year i should go for css and how much attempts i have still? and sir i m worried about optionals could u plz guide me which subjects i should take? sir should i appear in thios attempt? plz guide me sir as i m in dire need of the guidence.

The min age for CSS is 21 and you are 25, so you are eligible to appear, the max age is 28 so you take attempts for 3 more year. For details please have a look at the rules at the link below:

Aoa Sir.i need ur suggestion.I appeared in css2009 n got 602marks but got 36 and 39 in pakaffirs n everyday.i accept that i didn’t put much effort in those subjects n most importantly i deserved that.But the point is,now i have to drag myself towards my heartfelt goal.The enthusiasm is gone.Can u help me in this psychological warfare that is going on within myself.I hop u’ll get my point bcuz u urself faced da similar situation by appearing in css twice.How you coped with it?waiting for ur positive response.And Sir keep it up,u r doing a nice effort.God bless u.

an aspirant cum brother, i had query regarding facing the complication while studying. i couldn`t manager time as well to write, since i start writing after 20-25 minutes my b.p starts reducing, i never ever had such medical problem in my life, am fighting against that so called a panic,headache or a disease, its irking me, untolerable for me as well, being a doctor suggest me tips how to sort out and face this crucial problem which i never had in my life

I would like to suggest all the above aspirants that css prepartion requires seriousness of the candidates and continuous study for couple of months over the years. Regularly 8 to 10 hrs study is compulsory. Daily reading Dawn newspaper, writting practice in addition to through study of the syllabi are very essential. Young aspirants are advised not to wast their precious time by indulging in useless activites including sports because time is very short to go with all twelive subjects.
