Dear Reader, welcome back!
It is advertised by the Federal Public Service Commission Pakistan (FPSC) that the Competitive Examinations 2009 for recruitment posts of BS-17 in Central Superior Serives (CSS) of Pakistan are going to start simulataneously at 21centers throughout Pakistan on March 14, 2009. The forms with rules and syllabus will be available at all the from November 24, 2008 and the closing date for submission of form is January 1, 2009.
The advertisement of CSS 2009 is available at the website of FPSC. The rules and syllabus with application form can be obtianed by showing the treasury slip of rupees 1000 only against application fee. It should be noted that the candidates who passed CSS 2007 are waiting for the commencement of training and those who passed the written examination of CSS 2008 are going through the inteview, psychological assessment and medical examination.

I have some questions to ask about CSS & PCS examination.
1- From which date PCS examination being starting for 2009 ?
2- I select Lahore centre for PCS & CSS, Can i change centre from Lahore to Fasilabad after getting roll No. slip ?
3- Examination centre of CSS just held in provenciel capitals or could be other cities ?
4- If i want to change the examination centre then what would be the procedure of it ?
5- I attes my documents fron an OATH COMMISSIONAR is it acceptiable ?

For the query regarding where to start, please have a look at the CSS FAQ section of my blog. About the issue regarding DOB and your eligibility, the maximum age limit is 28 years, if you are planning to appear in CSS 2010 and cut of date is somewhere before 12-01-2010 then you will be eligible but in case cut off date for CSS examination 2010 is after 12-01-2010, you will not be eligible. Sir,i need council, i am Civil Engineer and government servent working in NHA as Assistant Director (BS-17) on contract basis form 3rd December 2007 on contract of 2 years extendable upto 7 years. but i want to state that i will reach at the age of 28 year on 26th september 2010 as my date of birth is 26 september 1982. i need to know that is there any age relaxation of 2 years for the government employees on contract

As per ur qualification i recommend u the following sub, slection
1- Public administration 100 (as u have already studied administrative law in ll.b part 3 and it is impressing selection rather to opt history and like that, it will help u in interview and in sutibility)
2- Islamic law and legislation 100 (as u have already studied it in ll.b part1 and 2 and it will help u in islamic com, paper)
3- International law 100 (as u have already studied it in ll.b Part2 and it is and impressing selection rather to opt history and like that, it will help u in interview and in sutibility)
4 Sociology 100 (as u have already studied its concepts in jurisprudence and in criminology)
5- Journalism because it is eassy and marks giving.
6- Punjabi 100 (because it can win u about 90 marks out of 100)

Having seen your DOB, it is implied that you will turn 28 year old on 16 Oct 2009 and it will disqualify you for appearing in CSS examination since the upper age limit is 28 for someone who wants to appear. Besides, you have mentioned that you have been doing Government Job for 2 year but on contract basis so I am not sure if the age relaxation applies to contract employees of Government. Therefore, I recommend you to contact FPSC personally (face to face by visiting their office or through phone and email).
