Exploring myself

I am in Khairpur and I am spending all my time on my self. It is for the first time that I am working on myself. It is not that I have never worked on myself but this time, it is nothing about course work or anything else. It is that I am thinking, trying to explore myself and considering this period of few months very valuable, sort of once in lifetime opportunity.

At the moment, I am trying to write my personal mission statement that can provide me a framework for all my activities and roles I am playing today as well as in future. The idea of personal mission statement was in head since I read about it in Stephan Convey’s Seven Habits of Highly effective People way back in, I think, 2000 but never worked on it. It is only recently that I am serious about one so that I can organize my life in a way that is suitable for me and for all those who are related to me in some or other way.

I think writing a mission statement is not that easy, it is a bit difficult, it is like exploring one’s self to its fullest and then encapsulate that diverse and expanded self in few lines. Above all, it is a very good activity, its like I am exploring myself and it is enjoyable. In fact more than enjoyable, it is rewarding and that’s why I am motivated to an extent that I am spending hours and hours and hours thinking.

Lastly, I would say, I am not sure how long it will take to get the finished product but I am enjoying the whole process and would recommend that you should try doing it and you will definitely love it.
