M Naveed Khalid

Dear M Naveed Khalid,

You are welcome. It is always a pleasure to help fellow who have a serious attitude towards this exam. Now let get to you query. Dear, when you are asking about the preparation of English essay, I would say it is all about written skill and for improvement of Written skills, the best formula is that you should do practice by writing about anything. At the beginner stage, you can go ahead with writing diary every night. You can start with writing about day to day activities and once you will do that, you will notice a major change in your skills. Once you have grip over written, you can then go for content and style. For that matter, one needs to read wide and good. When you are preparing for CSS, news paper can provide the kind of content that is required for CSS. This how I prepared, apart from this, consider making this practice fun by doing it in different ways. When I used to prepare for CSS, I use to blog a lot and it really worked for me. If you feel like not managing your own blog, you can go for requesting established blogs publish your content. In fact if you get to writing something that suit my blog. I would love to host your write ups. That’s it, I hope it will help you. I wish you all the best.

Dear Farrukh Malik,

I am overwhelmed by the rapid response from you. This makes it easy for me to elaborate my situation. As I have initiated my studies, I feel like I am not on the right path of study, though I am a bit complacent now by following the syllabus, I look forward to studying the most important topics then to the lesser ones. What I want to say is if I get a method of study. I would really appreciate if I were able to get suggested vocabulary, idioms and phrases which can help me save time, as one is not able to go through all the dictionary. Although I have guides for the competitive exams that I am not content with. To put it in a nut shell, I would really love to have a pattern of study for every subject in addition to notes if could get. I would also love to know how to improve my writing power. Soon after this I shall be going through the links that you have sent.

Regards

AR

Dear AR,

When it comes to method of study for CSS, I think a fine mix of smart and hard work can work for anyone. You can have a look at my recipe of success by clicking here. It will provide you with some idea about my method of preparation and if you feel like you can follow it or design your own. About suggested vocabulary, frankly telling you no matter how much you try, you can not cover it all but still you can use the word list suggested for GRE general examination as a source. About idioms, it is the same situation with them too. About pattern of study, I would say, read my recipe and you will find that there are tricks and short cuts that you can apply in order to get most out of your time. About notes, I can not promise but I will try my level best to make them available at least related to compulsory subjects as well as my optional subjects but it will take sometime. Now coming to you last query about improvement of written skills, you can find the answer to your this in my response to Mr. Naveed just above my your mail in this post.

Dia Khan

Dia Khan,

It is pretty tough to make guesses of such nature but still I would like to identify few key issues that you must prepare before sitting in the exams and I am sure it will help you. Those key issues are as under:

Here, I would like to say that these are my guesses nothing more than that.

My message to aspirants
Teaching

In some previous column, I had requested you to please write with proper grammar and spelling when ever you write because it will improve your skills but I have noticed that friends around are not following this advice. I am sorry to say but would like to warn you that if you will continue doing so, it will cost you of marks in examination and you will even not know that it is due to this habit of your. You must remember that in examinations like CSS every single mark counts and it is all about survival of the fittest. I hope you all got my point.
