The Silence has made some changes in this feature on the blog. Instead of getting this review published bi-weekly, Silence will publish it as once weekly feature. This decision has been taken based on the feedback and consultation of some loyal reader. Now the “Buzz around me” will get published on Thursday only. See we care about feedback sent by our readers. Hope you will help us grow more with your opinion about the material that gets published with Silence. Keep writing to us and we will come up to your expectations. So, without wasting much of your time, let’s get to some hot posts around:

In this article, The Pakistani Spectators (TPS) remarks that Cat is coming out of bag when it talks about Asif Zardari showing his want for the post of PM. Further, TPS feels that a huge fissure is there in PPP cadres. The writer may be true but I think up till now the things are going fine within PPP. Apart from this, in the same article, the TPS has pointed out that Makhdoom Ameen Fahim was not in the first press conference of Mr. Zardari at Naudaro. It may be true but I would like to point it out here that most important event then was of the announcement of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the party’s new chairperson and in that Makhdoom Amin Faheem was one of those who lead it in fact he started the conference and endorsed the move. I would like to add my personal opinion in this regard, to me in the wake of Benazir’s assassination, many things are not going that great in PPP high offices but lets adopt a wait and watch policy. One of the front liners in PPP said to me some time back and I would quote, “After the death of Benazir, it was for the first time that party started thinking without her” yes, he was right when he said this, it is for the first time that party has started thinking independently. To me it’s the most important phase of PPP and let the natural process take course and I am confident that a democratic PPP will be much better than what it is now.

You will not be able to guess what this wonderful post is all about unless you see it your self. Come and have a look at it on Ghoraba by Akhund, click here.

This post at the Pro-Pakistan blog by M Junaid Khan is a commentary about the report of Scotland Yard about the death of Benazir. Blogger Junaid has given is point of in a strong and logical manner. It was happy reading for me. If you feel like reading about it, you can find the post here.

Election is around and I am observing that there is tug of war going on between people discussing vote or not to vote. I found this post at Nothing ads up by Ali Hasanain not only about vote or not vote but he goes one step further by discussing about blog or not to blog about voting. It is interesting and I think you will like it too like I did.

People’s resistance is busy in mobilizing people through different action. They recently organized street theatre at sea view, this post at the emergency times is about this wonderful event. If you want to read the details, you can find them here.

My professor of journal Dr. Mehdi Hassan used to say that Army in Pakistan is the only institution that is disciplined and it provides them edge hence they are ruling. He is right to point it out that Army is strong and I keep thinking about why? Why political parties are not that strong? Is it only this discipline or something? Well answer can be found with Zahra Naqvi in this post when she writes, “Military has taken over the charge in the country because other institutions are not so strong to stand against them. I do believe that military never let political parties to strengthen and be active and efficient component of governance”. She may be right but we need to dig a little deeper, this reminds me of Ayesha Siddqui who recently published a book on corporate activities of real rulers of Pakistan. Let’s get back to the post by blogger Zahra, she has taken up the issue of Pakistani Politics and Uncle SAM since it stays the reality for so many year after independence. I like the way she has analyzed, if you want to have a look at it, click here.

This post on Awab’s blog by Shakir Husain is simply great, I kept laughing till it started aching. The title of the post is “Humor: Jat in London” and it is about the disrespectful treatment of blood relative of Chaudries (Shujaat and Pervaiz Ellahi) on their arrival at London airport. I simply loved the post and I think you will enjoy some great moments reading it. Don’t wait, just click here.

I was stunned when I happened to see this picture of the relatives of missing people protesting. I found it on Shirazi’s blog, to have a look at it, click here.

This piece by Raza Rumi about Moharram and the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) got published in The News and he has cross posted it on his blog too. I liked reading it. If you are interested in reading this account by Raza Rumi about the greatest martyr of all the times, click here.

Thank you Farrukh for your appreciation and inclusion of link on your page.

I will be writing after couple of days about the factors that led political parties at weaker end and military surpassed them.
