Aquarela: A Brazilian song

(This is translation of a song from Brazilian Portuguese that one of my friend Gisele sent me sometime back)
In a piece of paper I draw a yellow sun
And with five or six lines it’s easy to raise a castle
I run the pencil around my hand and I get a glove
And if I make it rain with two lines I have an umbrella
If a drop of paint falls on a blueish piece of paper
In a moment I imagine a beautiful gull flying in the sky
It goes flying, surrounding the immense line North and South
I’m travelling with it to Hawaii, Peking or Istanbul
I paint a sail ship white and navigate
It’s both sky and sea in a blue kiss
Among the clouds, it’s appearing, a beautiful airplane, pink and green
All around, colouring with its flashing lights
Just some imagination and it’s taking off, smoothly and nice
and if we really want, it’s gonna land
In a piece of paper I draw a departing ship
with some good fellows cheering the happiness of life
From one to the other America I cross in a blink
I spin simple compasses and in a circle I have the world
A child is walking and walking it reaches the wall
and there ahead, waiting for us, the future is
And the future is a starship that we try to control
Busy and merciless and unscheduled to arrive
Without clearance, changes our lives
and then it invites to smile or to cry
In this road, it’s not up to us to know or see what will come
It’s end, no one knows for sure where will get
Let’s go all on a wonderful path
of a watercolour that someday is finally
gonna fade away
In a piece of paper I draw a yellow sun
That will fade away
And with five or six lines it’s easy to raise a castle
That will fade away
I spin simple compasses and in a circle I have the world
That will fade away…
