Today, I faced the panel for final interview of CSS 2007 Pakistan. I am writing the questions for those who are having the interview this year and it might give an idea to aspirant also since they have to get through it at some point in time. So, here you go:
The interview was on sort of a discussion pattern so I cant exactly quote them, I am trying to catch the essence of questions posed to me in following words.
Chairman: So you are depriving rural Sindh of another doctor, you are second on list this day only (we were two doctors in this group).
Chairman: Why you want to leave medicine?
Chairman: Why you want to join police?
Chairman: Talk about your dreams.
Chairman: Why don’t you join politics?
Chairman: You can not be leader by becoming a civil servant?
Chairman: What do you know about
Chairman: Who are Israelis and where they come from in light of Quran?
Chairman: What do you think, are they really allotted with this land through Bible?
Male Member on Panel: What do you think about honor killings?
Male Member on Panel: What are the root causes of honor killings?
Male Member on Panel: What practical has been done to stop honor killings?
Male Member on Panel: What do you think about marriages with Quran?
Male Member on Panel: Do you think, Muslims living where ever in world as minority are creating troubles, what do is your opinion?
Male Member on Panel: Do you ever feel some or a little sense of admiration for Osama Bin Laden?
Male Member on Panel: What do you know about Chachniya?
Female Member on Panel: You have written My Feudal lord as your favorite book, can you tell us about the book and the author?
Female Member on Panel: Tahmina Durrani (the author of My feudal lord) is from
Female Member on Panel: You have written that you use to write, can you name the Sindhi Scholars?
Female Member on Panel: There are many Balouchs in Sindh, can you explain it?
Chairman: You have written that you want to win a Nobel Prize, don’t you think by being in medicine you have more chances?
Chairman: Can you name any Police officer, who has won Nobel Prize?
Chairman: Good luck gentle man and do let me know when you get this Nobel Prize!
In this way my interview ended. They asked nothing about my optional. They were very frank and were approving the same attitude. Dress code, I was wearing brown suit with black shoes.
For all those who are going to appear in other centers this year, I wish you good luck!

Wow… thanks for uploading ur interview. Have no words to express my gratitude for all that u r doing.
Do you think u were asked about Israel/Palestine issue coz the Annapolis Conference happened to be on the same day?
Seems like the chairman likes to ask about very current topics.
What did u say to these 2 questions:
“Chairman: Who are Israelis and where they come from in light of Quran?”
“Chairman: What do you think, are they really allotted with this land through Bible?”
I pray I’m not asked these questions… I would’ve been totally blank in the face of such queries.
You’ve mentioned:
“Male Member on Panel: What do you know about Chahniya?”
Is it a typing error, I mean did u mean ‘Chechnya” or is it something else?
Sorry, I’ve asked a lot of questions.
I hope ur interview went great. May Allah grant you success!
@Hassan:
Israelis are originally from Egypt. Acc. to bible I think they were promised a land where they can live that is today’s Israelis.
Yes it’s a typo mistake. You are right, it is Chachniya.
Don’t worry it feels great to help fellows. Do let me know if you have other question too!
These are few questions posed to me at CSS forum. I thought them of general interest so I am posting them here with my replies:
Queries:
Do they ask a question about important national and international events 2007 in psychological?if yes,wat exactly is the question asked and are the issues discussed in your interview linked in some way to that events or books u wrote? By Vanity Unleashed
If possible, may you kindly also post the asnwers you gave to these questions (as & when you have some time spare from your schedule). By Noman
thanks for sharing ur experience. Best of Luck.. did the panel ask you questions concerning ECONOMICS or ECONOMY of Pakistan. By Aarwa
Replies:
@Vanity Unleashed:
The questions asked in Psycological and interview were different. The thinks discussed with me were related to my profile in general and yes only one question regarding book My feudal lord was related to the book I wrote in psychological assessment session.
@Noman:
Yes I will try to entertain your request. Thanks for appreciation
@Aarwa:
You are welcome. No, they didn’t ask any question related to economics and economy of Pakistan
Any more question feel free to write to me!
And I wish you good luck for the Nobel Prize
So why do u want to leave medicine and go into Police?? Why police specifically?
I guess it demands another post … and yes why’s My Feudal lord your favorite book? You’ve read Blasphemy??
@Asma:
Thanks for wishing me good luck with Nobel prize.
I want to join Police because I think I can deliver more being a police officer. I think Police Service of Pakistan needs me. By being in medicine I can service few but by being in police I can serve many!
Yes I have read Blasphemy by Tehmina and it’s also one of my favourite books. This book is one of the ice breakers in our beloved Pakistan very women can not voice their suffering publicly and this might have provided tongue to those who were previously quiet or were kept quiet.
thanks for replying to my question. thanks
best of luck

@Aarwaa:
You are more than welcome.
Thanks for the answers, Dr Farrukh!
@ Hasan:

desperately waiting for reply .
@neelam-munir:
Welcome on board Silence. I am glad that you do have this dream to enter in civil services of Pakistan and if you prepared well you will get through it. You are studying towards your master degree in English literature so it will help you a lot. The first step to preparation for examination is looking at the syllabus. Buy a book about it and start looking at the subject will have to appear compulsorily and optionally. Decide about your optional subject for that you need to look at subject you can opt and their unsolved question papers. Get hold of them, find the subject that suits you best and kick it start. I am pasting a link to my recipe, have a look at it, I hope it will help you. The link is as under:

@Sara:
Thanks for appreciating my little step to share information with you all!
Managing the command task is all about your skills so one can only say that try to concentrate on the task when you are there. About the favorite personality, yes it ought to be living!

Kind Regards
faraz
@Faraz:
Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you will come back often.
The maximum age for CSS is 28 year and it is relaxed for in service candidates to two year that makes it 30. Apart from it, the scheduled castes do get age relaxation too.

Hi guys, i have just started my prepration for CSS and i would be looking farward to get some help from all u guys. would you plz give me some suggestions about the prepration. i am well aware of syllabus but what is confusing me is where to start. I have taken a big step of starting my studies anyway but from ur experience would it be good idea to study all subjects or start from optional first. i know its wiered to ask such question but seriously am just stuck and cant decide. plz share ur experiences
Hi dr.Farukh.
FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE U FOR GETTING SUCCESS IN CSS EXAM 2007.I WAS SANGUINE ABOUT UR RESULT AND WANTED U TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR US.GOOD’
I WAS BUSY IN THE CSS EXAM PREPARATION FOR 2008.I,THEREFORE,COULD NOT CONTACT U.ABOUT MY EXAM, IT WAS NICE EXPERIENCE.I AM OPTIMISTIC ABOUT MY RESULT.VERY OFTEN,I HEARD THAT CSS EXAM 2008 WAS RELATIVELY EASIER BUT I AM OF THE OPINION THAT ULTIMATE RESULT WOULD DETERMINE THE NATURE OF THE EXAM.WHAT R UR VIEWS?
THE INTERVIEW U UNDERWENT IS PRIMA FACIE OF GENERAL NATURE.HOWEVER, THESE QUESTIONS DO REQURE DIPLOMATIC ANSWERS.SIMPLE ANSWERS WONT DO SINCE THE QUESTIONS DEMAND DISCUSSION.
A CANDIDATE WITH SOME KNOWLEGE AS WELL AS SOME AMOUNT OF CONFIDENCE CAN MANAGE TO SATISFY THE QUESTIONERS.A GENIUS PERSON LIKE U WAS BOUND RO DO WELL.BY THE WAY, WHERE R UR TOPICS THAT DEMAND COMMMENTS?
@Adnan:
I am glad that you appeared in exam and you are optimistic about your result. I wish you all the best!
plz tell me how much time is given for interview after announcing the written test result.
