The forms of CSS 2008 are yet to come and will be available at FPCS head and regional offices. The last date has not been announced, they will be announced in due course of time and the exam is scheduled from March 15, 2008.

……@yahoo.com (Email address edited in consonance with blog policy)
one thing more, how is international relation subject???
Hi, don’t get confused since confusion is a great obstacle. Yes, in our times the situation was the same regarding Muslim history faculty at officers academy but still you can ask Hammad Sb. he will manage to help you out. I don’t have any experience with this subject but you can still find some valuable advice at CSS forum (http://cssforum.com.pk).
You can not take this papers in Urdu.
International relation is a very good subject and it will help one in many different ways.
I wish you all the best!!!
hi
i have talked to hammad sb. but he just suggested me two books about islamic history and said that no teacher is available for this subject.
but im trying to prepare it on my own,and i just want to consult some thing to that person who has opted this subject, anyways thanks alot for ur reply.
and thanx for confirming this that i cant take it in urdu.
if u dont mind, can i disturb u off and on for resolving my confusions???
and one thing more, i could not read dawn daily thoroughly,because of the lack of time, because some day i have to go library,then academy, and in the evening,too much tired that could not read dawn again,just do some other studies in the night.
what do u think that what is the proper method of handling this situation, moreover which sections, we must read from dawn,that we can not leave???
i think my problems are so lengthy than any body else!!!!!!!!
anyhow, me waiting for ur kind reply
tc.bye.
@Mashal:
To me Dawn is 60% of CSS preparation that’s why I use to read it for around 2-3 hrs daily and it paid me well. My experience tells me that we must read first and last page, international and world in focus selectively. Moreover, in editorial section we need to read articles of our interest on daily basis.
You are more than welcome to write me, it will be a pleasure to help you out!
hi
how r u?
its really very nice of u for replying.
i will try my best to read these sections of Dawn daily,
i have some another problem, besides the reading of dawn, how should i prepare for current affairs papers, infact im not too much good about these affairs and political issuse, but since i started the preparation for css, almost since Ramadan, i have started to take interest in such affairs.but still im not satisfied.
what do u think that if i will keep it up, i mean if i will continue reading of Dawn and would concentrate on it,would it be enough for this paper??? or some thing else??
ok then,take care of urself.
bye.
@Mashal: In my case I use to read daily dawn only for current affairs with map infront of me. Moreover, practice writing about what you read regarding different political issue it will help you alot.
thank u so much.
hi dr malik
i m adnan from larkana .i would like to know which academy of css preparation is better.and also let me know about u.
how did u manage to pass essay if u have qualified css?
@Adnan:
I practiced writing for quite some time and managed to pass the essay paper. I joined officers academy in Lahore can’t say about other academies like KIPS Johar Town Lahore or some other. What do you want to know about me? Be specific please and you will get the answers to best of my ability. For subject wise strategy of mine, refer to my other thread, link is as follows:
http://drfarrukhhmalik.wordpress.com/2007/09/29/css-my-recipe-for-success/
Anything else you want to know, feel free to post it here!
hi Dr.
Thanks for quick response and pleased to read about ur strategy that you employed in your preparation for C.S.S examination.But more glad to know that you stood to have got through written exam of C.S.S 2007.
i am also a css candidate and tend to sit exam in March 2008.i have studied my all subject in great detail and also made comprehensive notes on them.
However, i would very much like to consult you about my last subject.
Dr., my last subject is muslim law and jurisprudence and ,to tell you truth ,i have also gone through one of the two recommended books of the css syllabus ;while other is under study.the need is not yet sufficed.
what is your recommendation in this context?
@Adnan:
Since Muslim Law and Jurisprudence is/was not my optional subject that why I can’t suggest anything that worth but still will suggest a very good site for that purpose where you will find almost all your answers its:
http://cssforum.com.pk
My optional are:
History of India and Pakistan
Public Administration
Journalism
International Relations
Sindhi
Do let me know if I can be of any help to you. Moreover, I do have many plans on cards for CSS aspirants in interior of Sindh but will execute them if I stood successful in interview and all that. Till than you I am available virtually on this blog of mine. I wish you all the best in your career pursuits.
hi Dr.
thanks for above -given tips.For ur information i happen to be the regullar memeber of css forum with a nick:spider-man.
i appreciate ur idea of writing a piece of news in this bolog for other visiter to reflect.this is unique idea to develope writing skills.
i have written on the topic:seven-year old indian girl stripped.how did it strike to u?
actually i had PUBLIC ADMIN as my optional but i droped it as except sultan khan no other author’s book was good and since i also stand to be a law student ,i therefore changed it.however, scoring factore was also there as in css2007 result muslim law stood higher interms of marks.
i would like to know how many marks did u secure in ur optional as well as comulsory subjects?
i have also been student of Fida husain shah.And i have got a suprise for u………………………………………….that i will tell u soon
I don’t know my score yet since those who qualify don’t use to get the detailed marks sheet till final result. Moreover, Sultan Khan’s book is more than enough for the PA you must consider it if you do have interest in PA.
Good to know that you are a student of Fida Shah he really is a good fellow. I tried to call him couple of times but unfortunately his no. that I got from one of friends of mine was not responding.
About your opinion, I appreciate it.
Surprise…hmmm what sort of????
Thanks Dr.
I wish to consult with u about my problem and hope to recieve a sincere suggestion.
Actually, i have been reading my optional as well as compulsoy subjects for a year and a half.Albeight i have made comprehensive notes on them but i havent revised them yet.i still study my last optional sub namly muslim law that i will be able to finish within two weeks.
Tell me should i start revising my subjects(notes) now or should wait till the last sub is comleted?Also suggest me best strategy to deal with time managment problem.
@Adnan:
I am glad that you are very well prepared and I know with proper time management, you will successfully make it to top.
My sincere suggestion in your particular case is that you should continue your last subject. Having done with it, you can come back and discuss every issue with time management comprehensively. I am trying to launch a new thing soon hope i will give you the good news in the days to come.
Till then, you keep coming and I will try my level best to answer all your queries whole heartedly.
I wish you top!

This Message is for Dr. Farrukh Malik
First of all I should introduce myself,
My name is Aijaz Soomro, I am a
4rth year medical student from Chandka Medical College Larkana.
Origionally from Dokri, Larkana but ten years back my family migrated and settled in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Karachi.
Dear Farrukh,
Millions of congratulations for passing the written exam, really it is a big achievement and
a moment and source of happiness for all of us.
Dear a little about you and then about the CSS exam, I hope you will reply very soon.
I have read whole the page and got a little knowledge about you. It is appreciable that you help those who are seeking the way you are on, and will reach the destination soon Inshallah, really it is an act of kindness.
It seems that you are a medical doctor but I will be very thankful if you write your full introduction to me.
Heard of someone that nowadays the CSS board does not allow or is discouraging medical professionals to take CSS considering it entirely different category of professions or because of need of doctors or for any other reason. Atleast qualification for appearing in CSS is a bachelor degree, is that allowed to show MBBS degree for eligibility?
I am taking intrest in it because I want to appear in CSS after completing my medical studies.
Further I have decided to opt Indo-pak history, International relations and Sindhi but for the remaining two plz suggest me, tell me those subjects which are scoring and intresting.
Praying for your success in viva and all other exams.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Take care of yourself.
Bye.
@Aijaz Soomro,
Thanks for appreciation. Well you want my introduction, I am doctor and I happened to do my MBBS in 2005 from CMC Larkana. What else do you want to know about me. I think you belong to Batch 32 of CMC right?
Well about not allowing doctors and discouraging them ,I would say it’s just another rumor. There is no such thing with FPSC. Yes you can even apply on the basis of your MBBS degree.
I took the same subject, the other two subject with me were journalism and public administration. To me all subject are scoring if you have an interest so can’t suggest that which subject is scoring since it varies.
Thanks for your prayers. Keep coming back and spread the word about this place. Good luck with your ambitions!
Oh!! Nice
Its a surprise and pleasure to know u a Chandkian.
Again Billions and trillions of !!CONGRATULATIONS!! and !!BEST OF LUCK!! for the future.
Dear U r exactly right! I belong to batch 32 but How `d u come to know me? and u passed out in 2005, which batch u belong to?
Thank you for telling about the rumor and clarification that we can apply on the basis of MBBS degree.
Dear plz suggest me books on International Relations.
Surely I will keep myself in touch with your Site for further gaining and spreading of knowledge about it.
Love,
Aijaz Soomro.
Dear Farrukh,
Chandka`s annual magazine ” SAMBARA ” is just to come and will be in our hands within a few days, I `ve written an article in it. I want you to assess it for me plz for any correction or suggestion, it is not too lengthy as I was bound to write upto not more than 600 words. The title is POLITICS IN EDUCATONAL INSTITUTIONS.
Plz tell me how should I send it to u

@Aijaz:
I was a student in Batch 28 of CMC, how I knew that you are from Batch-32, well I just guessed as you told me that you are in your fourth year. About book for the international relation, I followed Parkash Chandra only and it is more than enough plus daily Dawn.
