Beating the students in cadet college Larkana Pakistan is not a new thing. Even when I was a student of same college, we used to face the same. This time the things are pretty different. The college authorities have adopted a new course to deal with the students. The situation emerged when two teachers entered the dinning hall while all the students were having dinner. They found few most senior students laughing and commanded the whole class out. The student left with saying a single word. After that teachers took it as there personal disgrace and left the place returning with sticks in their hands. They moved to a near by hostel (named Tipu house) where the last proceedings of the day (night roll call) were taking place. They commanded the students of 12th class to step out and get in lawn. As soon as the students were in lawn the started beating the students brutally and even abused them. Other students to avoid this mess started running out and called there other colleagues for help from different houses. They marched together to a ground in the college where they stayed to protest the misdealing. They stood on that spot up to 1:00 AM in night. After some time the hostel in charges came and excused the thing and told them that teachers were wrong in doing that even they are not allowed to carry such activity in the student accommodation area with permission of house master. So students marched back to hostels as the teachers assured them justice. Next morning student after noticing no progress logged the protest against the authorities. Here the principal interfered and put forward the following two option before students:
1. Teachers will excuse the thing and will not teach you.
2. Teachers will stay teaching you.
So students decided to stick to second option because it is conventionally well to give respect to teachers in east like father.
Latter the teacher adopted the policy of creating pressure on the head of institute by boycotting the classes. Principal gave consideration to teachers and a list was made to expel the student. According to some teachers it was having names of more than 20 boys. They started short listing on the basis of sons and wards of highly influential parents both politicians and feudal lords. The batch of 104 involved in the protest was left and only five of them those were considered easy to deal with and from the middle class families were expelled and forced out of college with out official intimation thought they use to send even the notice of holidays to us to pick our child. They called one by one so that no voice can rise. As soon as the five of them were out of college, the decided not to return home because they were feeling a sense of false guilt and were to able to resolve as how there parents will take the whole thing. An option of suicide emerged in their minds so my brother gave me a call that he named his last call to me. I was shocked to listen to him and started convincing him not to take such a huge step. I told him that I can understand his problem. I started sending messages to his cell. After two days of continuous counseling we were able to recover our children. One of students parents were not even in Pakistan.
Now the college is silent. More then a week has passed but no correspondence or official intimation is received from college. We are helpless. We made it public on local media so the thing that the things will calm down and again the will be successful in there wrong doing. Now the cadet colleges considered as elite institutions of Pakistan are turning to torture cells and the authorities are dumb, deaf and blind. I being the ex-cadet from the same college could feel the thing. May younger brother is facing a acute shock state and we are busy in his rehabilitation. I don’t know that why the considered are silent viewers in this issue. We demand that an open media trial must be there and who so ever emerged as guilty should face the legal action. It may be we or college. No body is above law and its time to prove it that way. I am afraid that colleges like Cadet College Larkana have a lot of support from establishment and we have minimum chances of having justice. Our children are suffering because they are not sons and wards of leading politicians or feudal lords. If the would have been like that, the situation would have been different but again five other would have taken there place as goats of sacrifice for sake of so called discipline and prestige. We request that they should not play with the lives of innocent children and think it above self so that the career of victims can be secured.

In my views cadet college larkana was a dream college to study but it has turned out to be plce of torture governed by a very cruel adminstration who do not care for the future of students. I think protestis basic right of every person when he think that he is being victim to some injsutice but such a punishment for a simple act of protest is not humanely. Just think about the student who are going to college to make them selves good citizen of country and they are beig pushed out of college with out any reason. Teachers say that this matter of their disgrace but i think their false sense of grace is not more important than the career of five innocent students.
i just wanted to let you know that i feel badly for your son.
plz dnt bring a bad name to ur alma mater by publicizing the issue in media, its a humble request
Hi Asif you may be true but dont you think students out there need better treatment and they are adamant on staying as such at the cost of careers of many such students in order to water their ever growing ego????
